Welcome to Carolina Mastiff Rescue!
Carolina Mastiff Rescue is a 501(c)3 not for profit rescue that serves the North and South Carolina areas. CMR is dedicated to finding forever homes for Mastiff and Mixed Breed dogs. We also do our best to serve the communities in our service area through public education on large breed dogs and their specific needs. All incoming dogs are spayed or neutered and given thorough health and temperment evalutations prior to placing them with a new family. Each family also goes through an in-home placement evaluation to ensure that each dog has the best possible experience in finding their forever home. If you are interested in sponsoring, volunteering or adopting, please use the links above to find out more.
Where Your Sponsorship and Donations Go
Onyx is a 3 year old Great Dane who was seized from a previous owner due to lack of care. He came to CMR as a heartworm positive dog and is very skinny. He loves to go on both walks and car rides with his foster family.
Cooper is a 4 year old Basset Hound. He came to CMR after his owner discovered that he could not keep him any more and was being sent to the animal shelter. He came to CMR as a heartworm positive dog and is currently getting treatment. Cooper loves to play with his foster family and rolls on his back like a big goofy boy.
Sadie Mae is a 2 year old Bull Mastiff. She was rescued from a shelter by CMR after being found as a stray. She is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, but is also possibly in need of surgery for her rear leg. Sadie Mae loves to play, but must be kept calm due to her rear leg.
Bella is a 4-5 year old English Mastiff who came to CMR as an owner surrender from a back yard breeder - each time she came into heat, she was bred. Bella is heartworm positive, and is currently recieving treatment. She loves to be outside sun bathing or playing with kids and will cuddle on the couch as much as you let her.
